With our first 4-day run of the Spring season under our belt, all we have to say is thank you to all the wonderful people who came out to support us this weekend! We started this past weekend in our home town of New Brunswick, NJ at The Court Tavern, with our friends from Big Wake, Josh Klien and the Legends, and of course, Keepin’ The Family. The show was awesome, and we had some very special guests come up to play with us. The crowd was great, and hopefully you’ll all be seeing The Brum horn section at other shows very soon!
Day two brought us to Ithaca, NY. A very special thanks goes out to our friends from Solaris, who put us up for two nights, and to The Notorious String Busters, who brought out their fans in force to support our first show at Lot 10! The crowd and energy were amazing. Ithaca will definitely be seeing more of The Brummy Brothers.
Day three found us in our home away from home, Philadelphia, PA, playing a late night set at Underground Arts with the wonderful Elizabeth Cary sitting in on fiddle. It’s always a pleasure to have Liz share the stage with us, and you can bet you’ll see her again real soon.
Last but not least, we spent day four in Queens, NY (Astoria to be exact), at The Bohemian Hall & Beer Garden for St. Patrick’s Day. Thanks to our friends at Good Love Entertainment for having us play this show. The crowd loved us. We even had some Brummy extended family, Dave and Eric’s cousins and a whole crew of their friends come out to see us perform! All said and done, the weekend was a huge success for us, and it was just the tip of the iceberg as far as our spring/summer schedule. We are looking forward to loading back into the van (BrumForce One as we fondly refer to it) this weekend for another Good Love show at Mexicali Live in Teaneck, NJ on Thursday night, 3/21. After that, to Carney’s The Other Room in Cape May, NJ on Saturday as part of the Singer Songwriter of Cape May Music Convention. As the cold weather fades and the warm weather and budding plants start to come up there are many things to look forward too. For us this means a whole slew of things are coming. Starting with our first spring together as a touring band with many shows on the horizon in many new cities and states. This includes reaching our 50th show in just under a year of performing live. This show will be at the Singer Song-Writer Convention which takes place in Cape May, NJ on March 23rd. The spring also means the start of festival season and the opportunity to play our music outside in the beautiful weather. Speaking of festival season, thanks to the support of you we have been invited into the Battle of the Bands for Strange Creek Music Festival in Massachusetts. The way the competition works is there are 9 shows in 3 different cities with 2 rounds. Our first round is on Thursday March 7th in Southbridge, Mass and if we win that one we have one more round. If we win the second round we will be one of the 3 bands that get to perform at Strange Creek 2013. Thanks as always for listening and we look forward to seeing you all at a show real soon.

Hello everyone! We hope you all fared the storm well here in the Northeast. Today we have two pieces of very exciting news in the world of The Brummy Brothers. First off, we have been asked to join the Good Love Entertainment family. They are a group of like minded people putting together events with great music of all different styles. As well as yoga classes and many more things to come. We are ready to spread the Good Love. Please check out their website and our page on there at http://www.goodloveentertainment.com. Secondly, we are proud to announce that we have been added to JibberJazz festival Madsummer Meltdown. One of their bigger festivals taking place on June 20th to the 23rd. We will be playing along side great bands such as The Budos Band, Anders Osborne and The Mike Dillon Band!!! Stay tuned for many more great announcements and we hope you will join us tomorrow night at Underground Arts in Philadelphia for their monthly bluegrass series.

We’ve already been booked for a few festivals this summer in both New York and Pennsylvania. Hey there Brummy fans! We are proud to announce that we have posted our first full show on archive.org. Now that we’re back in action we’ll be making it a point to record all our shows so that we can share them with the world. This is a special installment too, the whole show features our friend, Elizabeth Cary, on the fiddle. Well Eric, Dave and Andrew just got back from Jamcruise. An amazing 5 day adventure at sea with many big bands in the Jam, Funk, Electronic and Bluegrass scene. Not only was it an experience like no other but they also got the opportunity to jam with many of the members of Hot Buttered Rum, Greensky Bluegrass, Joel Cummins of Umphreys McGee, Nathan Moore and many others. Not only that but they played 3 impromptu sets on the pooldeck and in the Zebra bar.
Now that we are back to reality we are very excited to start off our new year with many shows coming your way!!! Including two this month. The first is this Saturday at Arlene’s Grocery in New York City with Hot Day at the Zoo for their 10th Anniversary. Also the following Friday at 10th Street Live in Kennisworth, NJ closing out the night after Jon Herington of STEELY DAN!!!! Hope to see you all soon.
